The Sambalpur–Jammu Tawi Express was derailed while going to the yard at Sambalpur Railway Station on Friday night, said a railway official.

The train runs between Sambalpur Junction Railway Station (locally called Khetrajpur railway station) in Odisha and Jammu Tawi in city of Jammu & Kashmir.

As per reports, two bogies of the express train derailed during the shunting movement to washing line. However, no injuries have been reported in the mishap so far.

Following the derailment, the technical team rushed to the yard and moved back the bogies to the track, added reports.

“As per routine, trains are taken to the washing line after the passengers finally deboard the train at the last stoppage,” said the Public Relations Officer of Sambalpur Railway Division.

Earlier on January 27, a three coal-laden wagons goods train derailed at a loco shed near Cuttack Railway Station. Though no one was injured in the mishap, the freight movement between Cuttack and Paradip route was adversely affected.
