When Puri residents are constantly in fear expecting the news of another cracker explosion patient succumbing to injuries anytime, a solace came after two patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday. 

The firecracker tragedy, which occurred on May 29, has so far claimed 13 lives, four from a single family living in Khandiabandh village.

However, in a piece of good news, two patients identified as Balaram Das and Manmohan Behera have fully recovered and with the consultation of doctors, they walked out of the hospital.

As per the sources close to the administration, 15 patients are presently undergoing treatment in different hospitals. 

Meanwhile, the Puri residents have pointed fingers at the local district and police administrations over the way they are treating the case. Even though the police have detained four persons in the cracker explosion case, they are yet to arrest anyone. 

On June 5, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) will come to the pilgrim city to investigate the case.
