A doctor, who married three months ago, was killed in a road mishap near Fire Station Square in Bhubaneswar in the wee hours of Sunday.  

The deceased doctor has been identified as Dr Manoj Kumar, who worked as a Cancer professor at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Three months ago, he married Dr Sushree Sangita, who works at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack..

According to family members, he left from his room in Bhubaneswar for Cuttack where his wife stayed on a bike to celebrate three month marriage anniversary on Sunday. It was around 12.30 am. As he was nearing Fire Station Square, he met with an accident. 
People rushed him to a nearby hospital but it was too late. The doctors declared him received dead. 

Dr Manoj Kumar and Dr Sushree Sangita married on February 28. The doctor couple weaved dreams for a happy family. But the fate played a cruel joke on them. For the family members, it was hard to believe that Manoj is no more.  

After the postmortem at Capital Hospital on Sunday, the deceased doctor’s mortal remains were handed over to the family members. 

As it is yet to be ascertained what caused Dr Manoj’s accident, the police have launched a probe from all possible angles.
