Six dead as truck hits auto rickshaw in Odisha’s Rayagada

In a shocking accident, six people died and two others were seriously injured after an auto rickshaw carrying them was hit by a truck near Rayagada on Wednesday.

As per reports, the deceased were returning to Kamarada in Andhra Pradesh after attending a marriage party in Rayagada.

While five persons reportedly died on the spot, one succumbed to injuries at the hospital later.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

According to sources, both the injured have been shifted to Visakhapatnam after their condition deteriorated further.

The police have launched a probe into the matter.
