The survivors of the series accident near RTO square in Bolangir district that claimed one life alleged that it was a murder bid over a land dispute. 

The survivors, identified as Sonu Nayak and Chitta Mohanty, have lodged a complaint with the police terming the accident a murder attempt. 

Meanwhile, the police have released the CCTV footage from the accident site following which question has been raised over the nature of the accident. Acting on the complaint lodged by the duo, police have launched a probe into the matter from a murder-bid angle, 

Exclusive footage showed how a truck rammed into a bike on a freeway injuring three persons and met with another accident by hitting a roadside tree. Following the release of CCTV footage, it is suspected that it was a murder attempt.

According to injured Sonu Nayak, he had seen the mini truck which rammed into the bike near his house in the morning. He was chased by the vehicle later. His brother was the target of murder. However, they narrowly escaped the accident. Sonu attributed the attack to past enmity over a land dispute.

Meanwhile, police got to know the vehicle registration plate used by the mini truck is a fake one. The number plate has been coloured. 

Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Toffan Bag said  “Three sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital where one succumbed. Police are launching a probe into it.”
