3 persons killed, 4-year-old child injured in road accident in Odisha 

In a tragic road mishap, three persons including a woman were killed and a 4-year-old child was injured after the motorcycle they were on, had a collision with a pick-up van near Bakadabedha Square under Umerkote Police limits in Nabarangpur district on Monday. 

The identities of the deceased persons are yet to be ascertained. 

According to a source, the three with the child were on a motorcycle. They were returning to their village Moti Gaon from Umerkote. As they were nearing Bakadabedha Square, their bike had a head-on collision with a pick-up van coming from the opposite direction. 

The impact of the collision was so intense that three died on the spot. The child was rescued in critical condition and was admitted to a local government hospital. 

On being informed, a team from Umerkote Police Station reached the spot, recovered the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem. An investigation has been launched into the mishap.
