2 Separate Road Accidents Take 2 Precious Lives In Odisha, 3 Injured

The district of Khordha witnessed two road mishaps on late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning respectively that took two lives and injured three.

As per reports, two women died and another was seriously injured when an unidentified vehicle mowed them down during their morning walk near Sampada under Nayagarh Nuagaon in the wee hours of Thursday.

The vehicle was reportedly coming from Dasapalla when the mishap occured. While the duo died on spot, another woman who accompanied them on the morning walk was seriously injured and has been shifted to Bhubaneswar for treatment.

In another mishap, an SUV crashed into a Police barricade put at PMG square late on Wednesday night.

Two occupants of the vehicle miraculously escaped with minor injuries in the high-intensity crash that saw the speeding vehicle jump to a height of 10 feet and lodge precariously over the barricades.

Sources said the driver was in an enebriated condition when he crashed his vehicle.

Police have detained the occupants of the vehicle for questioning.
