2 Killed, 3 Critical As Truck Rams Through Marriage Procession In Odisha’s Malkangiri

In a tragic incident, two persons in a marriage party procession were killed and three others sustained critical injuries after they were knocked down by a speeding truck at Pandripani area in Malkangiri district on Thursday evening.

Of the two deceased, one has been identified as the groom’s father who was the Sarpacnch of Pandripani Pachayat.

According to sources, the mishap took place when the speeding truck rammed through the wedding procession causing death of the two persons on the spot and leaving three others critically injured.

Locals and passersby caught hold of the culprit truck driver who was found in inebriated condition. He was thrashed black and blue by an angry mob. Moreover, the irate locals have staged a road block, sources informed.
