2 including woman constable die in Odisha road mishap

The trio was returning from a funeral from Swargadwar in Puri when they hit a coal-laden truck on the Puri-Bhubaneswar Jagannath sadak. While two including the constable died on the spot, the injured was rushed to Capital hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment.

In a sad turn of events, a funeral led to two more funerals in Puri when a two-wheeler rear-ended a stationery coal-laden truck near Biragobindapur under Sakhigopal police limits on Tuesday killing two and injuring another.

As per reports, there were three occupants on the two-wheeler including the rider and a woman constable.

The deceased have been identified as Suryakanta Sahu from Hota sahi in Sakhigopal and a constable working in Puri, Sushama Mishra.

The bodies are currently at Sakhigopal hospital awaiting autopsy.
