Rajasthan Shocker! Two sisters kill self just hours before their wedding

In a heartbreaking turn of events, two sisters in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, tragically died by suicide just hours before their scheduled double wedding ceremony on Saturday. The deceased, Shobha, 25, and Vimla, 23, were beloved teachers at a private school and daughters of Deep Singh. 

Their untimely deaths have shocked their family and community, and suspicions have emerged surrounding the circumstances leading to this devastating outcome.

The two women were rushed to a private hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning after their health suddenly deteriorated. Despite efforts to save them, doctors declared Shobha and Vimla dead upon their arrival. Preliminary investigations suggest that the sisters may have consumed a poisonous substance, though authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report to confirm the exact cause of death.

Following their deaths, the family had begun making preparations for their cremation when the police were informed and arrived at the scene. They took the bodies into custody, and after conducting a post-mortem examination, the bodies were returned to the family.

Allegations of Family Pressure

The incident has raised several questions, particularly regarding potential foul play. Shobha and Vimla’s maternal uncle, Jaswant Singh, has blamed the paternal side of the family for the tragedy. According to Jaswant Singh, it was this pressure, allegedly from Deep Singh's younger brother, that may have led the sisters to take such a drastic step.
