Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya on Tuesday to ceremonially hoist a saffron flag atop the spire of the Ram Temple, marking the formal completion of the grand temple’s construction. The event, described by many as a symbolic “second pran pratishtha,” will be followed by the Prime Minister’s address to a large gathering of devotees and dignitaries.

The triangular saffron flag is considered a spiritual emblem of dignity, unity, and cultural continuity, reflecting the ideals of Ram Rajya, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office. Its hoisting signifies the final declaration of the completion of the Ram Mandir, nearly a year after the consecration of Ram Lalla in the garbhagriha on January 22, 2024.

Security tightened

Ahead of the Prime Minister’s arrival, security has been significantly intensified across Ayodhya. A total of 6,970 personnel — including ATS commandos, NSG snipers, cyber experts and technical teams — have been deployed to ensure a smooth and secure event.
