In anticipation of heavy fog conditions, the Indian Railways has decided to cancel services of more than 50 trains for a period of three months between December 2022 and February-March 2023. Apart from these cancellations, the Railways has also announced that dozen other trains will remain partially cancelled during the aforementioned period due to fog.

Railway passengers are advised to go through the list of trains cancelled and partially cancelled before planning their journey. 

The divisional railway manager of the Northern Railway Lucknow Division informed that the administration has decided to completely cancel a total of 42 mail or express trains originating from Northern Railway, Lucknow division and passing through the division regularly. Passengers can check the list of trains below as cancellations will remain in force till February end or March first week.

This apart, it has been decided that frequency of several other trains starting from Northern Railway, Lucknow division and passing through the division daily, will be reduced. As per official reports, 20 trains will remain partially cancelled during the period.

In order to ensure safe rail operations during the fog season, East Central Railway has also cancelled several trains scheduled to open/arrive or pass through various stations of the Division from December 1, 2022 to February 28, 2023 while simultaneously reducing the days of operation. The list of trains cancelled is as follows:

Similarly, the North Western Railway also informed about fully cancelling services of these two trains in the upcoming fog season.  As per the official release, Train number- 19611 Ajmer-Amritsar Express running from Ajmer to Amritsar will remain cancelled from December 1, 2022 to February 25, 2023, while train number- 19614 Amritsar-Ajmer Express running from Amritsar to Ajmer will remain cancelled from December 2, 2022 till February 26, 2023.
