Stray Dogs Trigger Panic, Deer Die from Stress

On Tuesday morning, zoo staff discovered the bodies of ten deer inside their enclosure. A stray dog intrusion had triggered chaos, causing the deer to panic and run blindly.

Chief Forest Veterinary Officer Dr Arun Zacharia, who inspected the site, confirmed that the animals died from capture myopathy, a fatal condition brought on by intense stress that can cause cardiac failure.
