Karnataka Shocker! 13-year-old girl gangraped by 3 minors aged 14 & 15 in Hubballi

A minor girl, barely 13 years old, was brutally gang-raped by three boys aged between 14 and 15 in Karnataka’s Hubballi, police said on Saturday. The incident reportedly occurred when the girl’s parents were away from home.

According to officials, the accused boys, who live in the same locality as the survivor, allegedly took her to an abandoned area and sexually assaulted her. The matter came to light after the girl narrated her ordeal to her parents who later approached the police and filed a complaint, following which an investigation was launched.

Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said the survivor, aged between 12 and 13 years, has been provided protection and appropriate care.

“All three boys involved in the case have been taken into custody. Two of them are students currently studying in high school, while the third, as per preliminary information, appears to be a school dropout,” Kumar said.

Further, the parents of the survivor alleged that the accused boys threatened the minor, claiming they had recorded a video of the assault.

Police said the mobile phones of the accused will be seized for examination as part of the investigation. Authorities added that a thorough probe is underway and strict legal action will be taken based on the findings.
