Investigation into the recent New Delhi Red Fort blast has revealed a major terror plot to shake the national capital. According to security sources, a detailed blueprint was prepared by the terrorists to carry out massive coordinated explosions in Delhi on December 6, the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition.

Investigations have revealed that the terrorists had planned to execute the attack in six phases, using 32 cars packed with explosives. These vehicles were to be stationed at six important and crowded public places in the city to cause maximum damage and casualties.

The conspiracy was reportedly hatched by a terrorist doctor in collaboration with Pakistan-based terror organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Intelligence inputs indicate that the operation was designed as an act of revenge for the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992.

Preliminary findings suggest that the terrorists had already arranged logistics, explosive materials, and vehicles for the series of blasts. However, the plan was exposed during the probe into the Red Fort explosion, which killed 13 people and injured more than 24 others.

Officials believe that the December 6 attack was meant to destabilise national security and spread mass panic across the country. Security agencies are now on high alert, conducting raids and interrogations to trace the entire network behind the foiled terror operation.
