India on Monday successfully carried out a test launch of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile over the Bay of Bengal, marking another major milestone in the nation’s defence capabilities.
The Indian Army conducted the precision strike from a BrahMos unit under its Southern Command, with operational support from the Andaman and Nicobar Command. The missile accurately hit its target, demonstrating exceptional destructive capability and flawless guidance and control systems, defence sources confirmed.
The successful trial further strengthens India’s long-range strike capacity and boosts the preparedness of the armed forces in critical maritime zones. Officials stated that the test validates the reliability of the country’s indigenous missile systems and reflects India’s continuous advancement in high-end defence technology.
Defence experts believe that the performance of BrahMos during the trial reinforces India’s strategic deterrence and enhances the country’s superiority in modern warfare.
