The announcement was made by BJP’s Central Observer for the election of the leader of the legislative party in Bihar, KP Maurya, who said, “I announce the names of Samrat Choudhary as the leader of the BJP legislature party and Vijay Kumar Sinha as the deputy leader.”

This decision comes amid preparations for the formation of new Bihar government. According to reports, Nitish Kumar is scheduled to take oath as the Chief Minister for the tenth time on Thursday, November 20, at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan.

Nitish Kumar was recently elected as leader of the JD(U) legislative party and was subsequently chosen as the head of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) during a meeting of representatives from the five constituent parties held on Wednesday in Patna.

Earlier on Monday, he met Governor Arif Mohammad Khan in Patna to recommend the dissolution of the current legislative assembly, paving the way for the formation of the new government.

The BJP’s appointment of Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha is expected to strengthen the party’s legislative strategy in Bihar, while the state gears up for the swearing-in of its new government under Nitish Kumar.

The appointments further reflect the BJP’s strategic positioning within the NDA as Bihar prepares for its next administrative term.
