In Assam’s Kakopathar area, a grenade attack struck an Indian Army camp on Friday, injuring three soldiers.

The assault is believed to have been carried out jointly by the banned insurgent groups NSCN-K(YA) and ULFA-Independent.

The exchange of fire reportedly lasted nearly an hour before the attackers retreated into dense forest terrain.

Security forces, along with local police, launched a massive search and combing operation to track down the assailants.

A truck used by the attackers was later found abandoned in the Tengapani region of Arunachal Pradesh.

Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
