New Delhi/Washington: As the new era of Joe Biden begun in United States following the swearing in ceremony at the Capitol Hill, wishes from leaders across the globe pour in including PM Narendra Modi.

Taking to Twitter, PM Modi stated, My warmest congratulations to Joe Biden on his assumption of office as President of the United States of America. I look forward to working with him to strengthen India-US strategic partnership.

The Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu greeted Biden too.

British PM Boris Johnson wished Biden by tweeting, "America’s leadership is vital on the issues that matter to us all, from climate change to COVID, and I look forward to working with President Biden."

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu released a video in his Twitter handle congratulating Biden.

And last but not the least, Pakistani PM Imran Khan too seemed to be quite happy on Biden's oath taking ceremony. He displayed his pleasure through a tweet that read, "I congratulate President Joe Biden on his inauguration. Look forward to working with Potus in building a stronger Pak-US partnership through trade & economic engagement."

Earlier singer Lady Gaga performed on stage by singing the National Anthem marking Biden's oath taking.
