Kolkata: Keeping all the speculations at bay, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday won the Nandigram Assembly seat defeating BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari.
As per reports, Banerjee has won the seat by a margin of 1200 votes.

The Election Commission of India will declare the West Bengal Election Result today.

The state had witnessed a high voltage campaign by both the TMC and the resurgent BJP.

Suvendu Adhikari had vowed to quit politics if he fails to defeat Mamata Banerjee by more than 50,000 votes. Taunting the TMC chief, Adhikari had also asked her to be ready with a letterhead that reads, “Former chief minister”.
