Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: In a move likely to bring relief to the students who had been facing technical issues during online application process for recruitment to SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2017-18, the last date for application has been extended from December 18, 2017 to December 20, 2017.

Besides, the last date for payment of fee through SBI Challan has also been extended to December 22, 2017.

The CHSL 10+2 level examination 2017-18 will be conducted for the recruitment of 3259 Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, Data Entry Operator (DEO).

As per the notification, the last date for SSC CHSL 2017-18 was extended due to the technical error which occurred two days ago making it troublesome for the aspirants to apply for the exam.

The candidates now get extra two days to apply for SSC CHSL 2017-18, the exam of which will be conducted across the country next year.

SSC CHSL 2017 Important Dates-

  • Closing date of online application – December 20, 2017 (up to 5 pm)
  • Offline Challan Generation End Date – December 20, 2017 (up to 5 pm)
  • Payment Through SBI Challan – December 22, 2017

How to Apply Online:

  1. Visit the official website www.ssc.nic.in
  2. Click on Apply ‘CHSL’
  3. Click on ‘Click Here to Apply’ and Register first by filling all the asked details
  4. After Registration part is done, click on ‘Apply Online’
  5. Fill all the details and submit the form

Age Limit:

Candidates need to be between 18-27 years of age as on August 1, 2018. Age relaxation is applicable by 5 years for SC/ ST, 3 years for OBC nd 10 years for Differently-abled candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates need to have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University for Post- 1 & 2. However, for Post- 3, 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent is required.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of a computer-based exam, descriptive test, skill test and interview.

Application Fee:

Candidates will have to shell out Rs 100. No fee is required for women candidates of all categories and SC, ST, PwD and Ex-servicemen.

Note: The date of Computer Based Exam (Tier-I) from March 4 to 26, 2018 while t date of Tier II exam (Descriptive Paper) is July 8, 2018.
