Sex education for younger children in NCERT’s revised syllabus
National Council for Educational Research and Training’s (NCERT) has come up with a revised syllabus for the students of classes 1 to 5.
As a part of NCERT’s revised syllabus curriculum, students of classes 1 to 5 will now be taught about child sexual abuse.
As per the plans, schools will impart sex education to children in detail through educational films and also with the help of counsellors.
Sex education in schools had been a longstanding demand in the country. Meanwhile, its appropriate presentation to students can only serve the purpose.
