New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) will hold a nationwide protest on February 18 (Monday) in the wake of the deadly Pulwama attack in Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday, in which over 40 CRPF Jawans lost their lives. The traders' organisation has reached out to all States and the cities to join them in this nationwide 'Bharat Trade Bandh'.

In a press statement, the CAIT mentioned, "A strong sense of anger has grown among traders and citizens. The CAIT has decided to observe Bharat Trade Bandh on February 18 and no business activity will be held on that day. The bandh is organised to show solidarity of traders with the nation and families of the martyrs."

During the bandh, the CAIT will further demand the Government of India to take strong action against Pakistan.

The organisation has also urged people and several groups to hold meeting to declare Bandh in their respective States and cities.

"It is not an ordinary matter but a matter of our country’s prestige. Pakistan and the World should know that India stands united as ONE," CAIT stated.
