Bhubaneswar: President of India, Ram Nath Kovind on Friday urged people of the nation to work together for creating an inclusive society filled with the spirit of love and compassion that promotes peace and goodwill.

Extending greetings on the occasion of New Year, Kovind said, “New Year provides an opportunity to make a fresh beginning and resolve for individual and collective development. Challenges arising out of COVID-19 situation strengthen our determination to move forward unitedly.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his wishes to the countrymen on New Year.
“Wishing you a happy 2021! May this year bring good health, joy and prosperity. May the spirit of hope and wellness prevail,” tweeted Modi.

In a video message, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik prayed for hope, peace and prosperity of all this New Year.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP National Vice-President Baijayant 'Jay' Panda also wished people on the occasion of New Year.
