IRCTC: Railways launches New Deluxe Tourist Train With Multi-Facilities

The Railways has always been committed in upgrading the facilities bringing joy to millions of commuters. Recently, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) launched all new Buddhist circuit tourist train rake which will cover all the important destinations associated with Buddha's life, it's history and importance.

Equipped with the new features like foot massagers and safety lockers, it was flagged off from the DSJ station on Dec 8, 2018 by the chairman of railway board.

This new train is equipped with state of the art equipment and guest amenities

The fully air-conditioned train comprises 12 LHB coaches: First AC- 4 coaches, Second AC- 2 coaches, Dining Car- 2 coaches, Kitchen Car- 1 coach, Third AC Staff Coach- 1 coach. The train accommodates 156 guests with on-board two restaurant cars with a capacity of 64 guests in each coach.

Other features include:

Kitchen car with the sate of the art equipment- hot plate, deep fat fryer, salamander, etc.
Separate sitting area in AC-2 tier with sofas
Amenities like foot massages, digital lockers and shower cubicles
Equipped with CCTV camera surveillance and smoke detection alarm system.
