Indian Railways: Passengers Can Check Health Parameters Through Health ATMs

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railways is constantly working on improving the infrastructure to provide world class facilities for the passengers. As part of such initiatives, state-of-the-art health checkup machines, popularly called the 'Health ATM' kiosks have been installed at several stations across the country.

A passenger can undergo a check up of key 10 to 12 health parameters and get reports within 5 minutes at such Health ATM centres.

One can get details regarding pulse rate, blood pressure, metabolic age and also undergo a bone test at the Health ATM by paying a nominal fee.

"It is certainly of great help for passengers having an acute medical history as they can monitor vital health parameters at railway stations before undertaking their journey," said a passenger.

Railway officials informed that trained staff have been engaged to assist the passengers to use the facility. One just have to enter name, age and mobile number and stand on the machine for a check up.
