Father Kuriakose Kattuthara, key witness in Kerala nun rape case found dead

Jalandhar: A priest, who was considered to be the key witness and had given a statement against the main accused in Kerala nun rape case, Bishop Franco Mulakkal, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Jalandhar today, sources said.

Father Kuriakose Kattuthara, 62, was found dead this morning in his room in a church.

While the exact cause of his death is yet to be ascertained, the family of Kuriakose has suspected a conspiracy behind his death.

As per latest reports, Father Kuriakose Kattuthara's family has filed a complaint with the Alappuzha police seeking an inquiry into his death.

Speaking to ANI, AR Sharma, DSP Dasuya informed,"He used to live at St. Paul's Church in Dasuya. He was found dead there. The matter will be investigated. I have been informed that no injuries have been found. It was found that he vomited over the bed and blood pressure tablets were found at the spot. Investigation is underway. In our notice, no security was provided to him."
