Bhubaneswar/Andhra Pradesh: It was a close shave for the passengers of 17479 Puri Tirupati Express as a major mishap was today averted after an alert Keyman detected a crack on the railway line near Bhairavapatnam village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh and immediately informed the driver to stop the train.

According to a report of news agency ANI, "A keyman identified a broken railway line just before 17479 Puri Tirupati Express was about to pass & immediately alerted the driver to stop the train in Bhairavapatnam village."

However, the train was allowed to move after a temporary repair work, sources said.

The train was reportedly en route to Tirupati.
