Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a major announcement regarding the declaration of the results for the cancelled annual board examinations of Class 10 students.

The board has come up with a policy for the tabulation of marks to be awarded to the students. It has asked schools to form an eight-member committee for tabulating the results of the students.

It has made clear that the marking should be in consonance with past performance of the schools in class 10 board exams.

Under the assessment plan, for each subject, 20 marks will be for internal assessment, 80 marks for tests conducted during the session.

The board has warned schools indulging in unfair and biased practices for assessment to face strict penalty including disaffiliation.
