New Delhi: Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR region and some parts of north India on Friday.

Apart from the national capital, on Friday night, the tremors were felt in multiple parts of the country including Jammu and Kashmir, Leh and Amritsar.

The tremors reportedly lasted for about 2 minutes. As per the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake of magnitude 6.1 on the Richter scale hit Amritsar, Punjab at 10:34 pm today.

Tajikistan was reportedly the epicentre of the earthquake.

The National Center for Seismology said in a tweet, "Earthquake of Magnitude:6.3, Occurred on 12-02-2021, 22:31:33 IST, Lat: 38.00 & Long: 73.58, Depth: 74 Km ,Location: 285km ENE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan"

However, no casualties or damage to property was reported in the earthquake.
