Book Bus Tickets Without Hassles As IRCTC Launches New Online Facility

Bhubaneswar: Passengers can now book bus tickets without wasting time by visiting counters as they can now do it right from their comfort of their homes.

One just has to visit the new bus ticket booking service of the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

Through IRCTC’s new microsite http://bus.irctc.co.in , passengers will be able to book their choice of buses along with seat preference.

IRCTC has tied up with more than 50,000 State road transport as well as private bus operators covering 22 States and 3 UTs for providing online bus ticket booking services.

To provide a holistic travel experience, IRCTC has now launched online bus booking services covering 22 states & 3 UTs.

Users can now book Buses with seat selection sitting in the comfort of their homes.

The new feature of online bus booking will allow the customers to view a variety of buses and choose the appropriate bus for travel considering route, amenities, reviews, ratings and bus images available. Along with this, the customers will be able to choose their pick-up and drop points and timings and finally book their journey at a reasonable price with the ongoing bank and e-wallet discounts too, IRCTC said in a statement.

It is pertinent to mention here that IRCTC is already into the business of online rail and flight tickets. The company had launched its online bus ticket booking services in January this year.

Sources said the integration of the new service over IRCTC-Mobile app is expected to be completed in the first week of March. As a result of this integration, passengers will be able to book bus tickets on through their mobile phones as well.
