New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President, Amit Shah was admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi with swine flu today. The leader confirmed about the development through his twitter account.

"I have been diagnosed with swine flu and treatment is underway. With God's grace and your wishes I will recover soon," Shah tweeted.


Meanwhile, the Odisha unit of the saffron party informed that on account of Shah's illness, his scheduled visit to Odisha on January 18 has been put on hold.

"Party's national president Amit Shah is undergoing treatment for swine flu. He himself has tweeted about the development. In view of his health, his scheduled programme in Salepur, Odisha on January 18 has been put on hold. Once the new date of his Odisha visit is finalised, we will inform about the same," said vice president of BJP's Odisha unit, Samir Mohanty.
