At a time when the lakhs of Central government employees are eagerly waiting for the hike in the minimum pay, good news for other government employees are coming up from different parts of the country.

After the Centre announced the bonus for the Railway employees, the Haryana government has come up with a good news for its employees.

With the announcement of the dates by the Election Commission for the Assembly elections being on the cards, the Haryana government has reportedly announced hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for NHM employees.

As per media reports, the Haryana government has announced a 6 per cent hike in DA for the above mentioned employees effective from January 1, 2019. With this, the NHM employees’ DA has been increased from 148 to 154 per cent.

The DA hike announcement has come following the protest of the NHM employees who had earlier staged a protest at the State Chief Minister’s residence.

On the other hand, the Central government employees, who are waiting for the hike in their minimum pay, are also likely to get a DA hike. The Narendra Modi government at the Centre is likely to come up with the decision soon, said sources.

Besides, media reports are also there that the Modi government is considering a hike in the minimum pay of the CG employees as the employees have been demanding the same since the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission.

The Central government employees have been demanding a hike in their present basic pay, Rs 18,000. They are presently getting Rs 18,000, but demanding an increase of Rs 8000 (Rs 26,000).
