With the festivals kicking off this year, finally the Narendra Modi-led central government has come up with bumper news for employees under various departments. If reports are anything to go by, the government has approved a hike in salary, apart from extending pension benefits for these employees. They will also get a bonus under the 7th Central Pay Commission, reports claimed.

According to sources, the government has decided to provide monetary benefits in the form of productivity-linked bonus to the personnel of Army Ordinance Corps under the Central Defence Ministry. While the Group C personnel are likely to avail a bonus of Rs 7000, the Group D personnel will get Rs 1200, sources said.

Similarly, there is a good news for the Group A and Group B non-ministerial employees working under the health ministry. The govt has reportedly decided to hike their Hospital Patient Care Allowance / Patient Care Allowance (HPCA/PCA), respectively. Under matrix level 8 of 7th Pay Commission, the concerned employees would get a Rs 4100 hike in their monthly salaries, while those in matrix level 9 of 7th CPC will avail Rs 5300 monthly hike.

On the other hand, the Indian Railways has reportedly announced to give a 78-day bonus to the non-gazetted staff as festival bonanza. Sources said these employees would get a hike of Rs 17951.

Similarly, the Modi government has announced a hike in DA for employees under various departments apart from granting pension to defence personnel whose salary is less than Rs 17000, added sources.
