New Delhi: Delhi police on Sunday claimed to have busted a gang allegedly involved in murder, snatching cases and armed robberies with the arrest of four persons and recovery of two pistols and a car.

Acting on specific information, police laid a trap and arrested Sonu Chaudhary, Sonu alias AT, Rajesh and Jitender Garg from an area on the Delhi-Haryana border, police said.

"Personal search of Sonu Chaudhary and Sonu led to the recovery of two sophisticated improvised pistols of 7.65 mm, each loaded with five live cartridges. The recovered car was also found to be a robbed one.

"All the accused persons have been found to be habitual criminals and previously involved in several cases of murder, robbery and snatching," a senior police official said.

On sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed that they had committed several daring robberies, the official said.

"11 cases, including one murder, one attempt to murder, four robberies including three carjackings and five snatching cases have been worked out so far," he said.
