Giribala Behera, Congress Mayor candidate for Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) is leading by 375 votes as per the initial trends after completion of round 2 of counting of votes.

Behera has got 5949 votes while BJD candidate Subhash Singh secured 5574 votes. BJP’s Mayor candidate Sritam Das has bagged 2306 votes after round 2.

BJD wins 73 Chairperson seats, BJP distant second with 16 while Congress and other candidates take away 7 and 9 seats respectively.

BJD also secures the lion's share of 1183 councillor seats with BJP way behind in the second with 286 seats while Congress and others content with 139 and 116 seats.
