Voting has begun for the 7th and final phase of the ongoing general elections. In this phase, polling is being conducted for 57 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across eight states and two Union Territories (UTs)- Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab and Chandigarh. As per reports, fate of around 904 candidates will be sealed by voters today.
A voter turnout of 59.45 per cent was recorded till 8.45 pm on Saturday in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha polls.
According to the Election Commission’s voter turnout app, West Bengal logged a highest voter turnout of 69.89 per cent. The second highest voter turnout of 69.59 per cent was witnessed in Jharkahnd. The following states were Himachal Pradesh (67.67 per cent), Odisha (63.57 per cent), Chandigarh (62.80 per cent), Punjab (55.86 per cent), Uttar Pradesh (55.60 per cent) and Bihar (50.79 per cent).
As many as five Exit Polls predicted a clean sweep for the NDA, with all of them predicting 350 plus seats for the BJP-led alliance.
While India News D-Dynamics predicted 371 seats for the NDA, Republic-Bharat-Matrize put the figure between 353-368 seats.
Republic TV-MARQ projected the NDA to be fetching between 353-368 seats.
According to Jan Ki Baat Poll Survey, the NDA is likely to get 400 seats in its kitty. India Today-Axis My India also predicted a thumping mandate for it.

A voter turnout of over 58 per cent was recorded till 5 pm on Saturday in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha polls.
According to the Election Commission’s voter turnout app, while West Bengal recorded a highest voter turnout of nearly 69.89 per cent, Jharkhand logged a polling percentage of 67.95 per cent, followed by Himachal Pradesh 66.56 per cent, Chandigarh 62.80 per cent, Odisha 62.46 per cent, Punjab 55.20 per cent, Uttar Pradesh 54 per cent and Bihar 48.86 per cent.
A voter turnout of 49.68 per cent was recorded till 3 pm on Saturday in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha polls.
According to the Election Commission’s voter turnout app, while Jharkhand recorded a voter turnout of nearly 60.14 per cent, Uttar Pradesh logged a polling percentage of 46.83, West Bengal 58.46, Bihar 42.95 and Himachal Pradesh 58.41, Punjab 46.38, Chandigarh 52.61 and Odisha recorded 49.77 per cent voting.
A voter turnout of 37.80 per cent was recorded till 1 pm in the polling for the 13 Lok Sabha constituencies of Punjab on Saturday. In the lone parliamentary seat of Chandigarh, the voter turnout was at 40.14 per cent.

A voter turnout of 14.35 per cent was recorded till 9 am on Saturday in the four Lok Sabha constituencies of Himachal Pradesh where polling is underway in the last phase of the general election. As per reports, the Kangra parliamentary seat recorded a turnout of 13.72 per cent, Mandi 13.81 per cent, Hamirpur 14.67 per cent and the Shimla (SC) seat 15.26 per cent.

On Saturday, the seventh and final phase of the general election saw polling in 57 constituencies across seven states and the Union Territory of Chandigarh. This includes Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking a third consecutive term. Voting is underway in all 13 seats of Punjab, four in Himachal Pradesh, 13 in Uttar Pradesh, nine in West Bengal, eight in Bihar, six in Odisha, three in Jharkhand, and the lone seat of Chandigarh. Additionally, 42 Assembly constituencies in Odisha and bypolls to six Assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh are also taking place. By 9 AM, the voter turnout was approximately 11.31 percent, according to the Election Commission's voter-turnout app.
In the first two hours of polling on Saturday, a 9.64 percent voter turnout was recorded across Punjab's 13 Lok Sabha constituencies. The lone seat of Chandigarh saw a higher turnout at 11.64 percent. Polling began at 7 AM amid tight security and will continue until 6 PM. Among Punjab's constituencies, Ferozepur registered an 11.61 percent turnout, followed closely by Sangrur at 11.36 percent.

As of 9 AM, Odisha saw a voter turnout of about 7.69 percent in six Lok Sabha constituencies and 42 assembly segments during the final phase of elections on Saturday. Voting began at 7 AM in the constituencies of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, and Jagatsinghpur, along with their respective assembly segments. According to Chief Electoral Officer N B Dhal, the voting process has been largely peaceful across the 10,882 polling booths, despite some reports of EVM glitches. These issues were mostly resolved, either by fixing or replacing the malfunctioning machines.
As of 9 AM, voter turnout reached nearly 12.15 percent in the three Lok Sabha constituencies of Jharkhand participating in the seventh phase of voting on Saturday, according to officials. Polling, which commenced at 7 AM, is taking place in Dumka, Rajmahal, and Godda and will continue until 5 PM.
Rajmahal recorded the highest turnout with 12.82 percent, followed by Dumka at 12.31 percent, and Godda at 11.46 percent.
