Western Railway Releases Recruitment Notification for Junior Clerk, Train Clerk Posts

The Western Railway has invited applications from interested and eligible candidates for the positions of Junior Clerks and Typist and Train Clerk. Applications can be submitted for the same before the notified deadline.

The last date of online application submission for genera; departmental competitive examination (GDCE) is July 30, 2019.

Educational Qualification

Junior Clerk Cum Typist: 12th (+2 Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 Stage). Typing proficiency in English /Hindi on the computer is essential.

Trains Clerk: 12th(+2 Stage) or equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and candidate who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 Stage).

Age Limit (As on July 1, 2019)

The Upper Age Limit to apply for the positions is 42 years. However, age relaxation is there for SC/ST candidates by 05 years and 03 years for candidates applying under OBC category.
