UPSC Recruitment 2020, 7th Pay Commission 7th CPC Latest News: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications from interested and eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts of Statistical Officer and Superintendent (Printing). After final selection, candidates will get a salary as per Level-7 pay matrix of the 7th Pay Commission.

The last date of filling applications is December 17, 2020. Candidates are requested to apply only ONLINE against this advertisement on the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) website (upsconline.nic.in). The last date for printing the completely submitted online application is December 18 (11:59 PM).

Applicants are advised to go through carefully the details of posts and instructions below:

AGE LIMIT: As per the official notification, the maximum age limit of the candidates applying for the posts is 30 years. The age is relaxable for SC/ST candidates up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them.

APPLICATION FEE: The application fee for the unreserved category candidates is Rs 25. The required amount be paid either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card. The application fee is free for the unreserved category candidates which include SC/ST/PH/Women candidates. No fee exemption is available to General/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.

PAY SCALE: Level-07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th Central Pay Commission, General Central Service Group ‘B’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

NUMBER OF POSTS: Under this recruitment drive, UPSC will fill 36 vacant posts, one Superintendent (Printing) and 35 Statistical Officer posts.

QUALIFICATION: For Superintendent (Printing) post, candidates should possess a degree from a recognised University established or incorporated by or under a Central Act; Provincial Act or a State Act or any institution for higher education deemed to be a University by the Central Government or any other institution or foreign University approved by the Central Government.

For Statistical Officer posts, applicants should have a Post Graduate Degree in Statistics / Operational Research / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics or Post Graduate Degree in Economics / Mathematics / Commerce (with Statistics / Quantitative Method / Techniques or Costing and Statistics/Basic Statistics /Business Statistics / Introduction to Statistics etc. as one of subjects /papers in Post Graduation / Graduation level ) of a recognized University.
