UPSC Recruitment 2018: Multiple Vacancies Under 7th CPC; Few Days To Apply

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a recruitment notification for eligible candidates for the positions of Assistant Engineers and many other posts including Refrigeration Engineer, Deputy Architect, Design Officer and many more.

Two Assistant Engineer (NQA) Electrical, Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval), DGQA, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence. These vacancies are invited for ST and OBC candidates (ST-01, OBC-01).

The post is suitable for Physically Challenged Persons viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with disability i.e. One leg affected (Right or Left) (OL) or Hearing Impairment with disability i.e. Partially Deaf (PD). The posts are permanent.

Pay Scale: Level-7 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group 'B' Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL:

(A) EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Engineering in the discipline of Electrical/ Electronics Engineering.

(B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control / Production / Manufacturing and testing of Engineering Equipment including knowledge of various standards and their interpretation.

NOTE-I: The qualifications are relaxable at Union Public Service Commission discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

NOTE-II: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisites experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved.

DESIRABLE: Experience in Computer operation for the purpose of preparation Technical reports Technical Briefs etc.

DUTIES: The officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipments and stores; defect investigation, trials, vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders. sampling plans, liaison with production units, removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods of improvement of quality. HQ: New Delhi with All India service liability.

OTHER CONDITIONS: Candidate recruited to the post will be covered by the new contributory pension scheme and the candidates selected are required to join immediately.
