The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought applications for multiple positions like Scientist, Assistant Director, Drugs Inspector and Medical Officer.

Those interested and eligible for the positions can submit their applications before the deadline which is October 17, 2019. Before you start applying, go through the details of the vacancy given below:

Scientist B (Ballistics)

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant up to five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time.

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Physics / Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University.

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified.

Experience: Three years experience of analytical methods and research therein in the field of Ballistics in any Central Government or State Government organization or recognized research institute or Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central or State Government.

Assistant Director (Industrial Hygiene)

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Bio-chemistry of a recognized University or equivalent. Equivalent qualification(s) is Associate-ship of Institution of chemists (AIC) offered by the institute of chemists (India), Kolkata.

Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the UPSC in the case of the candidates otherwise well qualified.

Experience: Three years research practical experience in industrial Hygiene.

Drugs Inspector (Unani)

Pay Scale: 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 8 ( ₹ 47,600-1,51,100/-).

Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on the normal closing date.

Educational Qualification: Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Medicine with specialization in clinical Pharmacology or Micro-biology from a recognized University.

At least one year’s practical experience in Unani Pharmacy. OR Degree in Unani System of Medicine from a recognised University or a State Govt. or a statutory faculty, council or Board of Indian System of Medicine recognised by the Central Govt. / State Govts. for this purpose. OR Diploma in Unani System of Medicine granted by a State Govt. or an institution recognised by the Central Govt. or a State Govt. for this purpose.

Note: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of Union Public Service Commission, for the reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies to reserved for them.

Medical Officer (Ayurveda)

Pay Scale:  Pay Band 3 ₹ 15,600-39,100/- plus GP ₹ 5400/- plus NPA (Pre-revised) – 7th CPC Pay matrix level 10 plus NPA (Revised).

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years for General & EWS category candidates as on the normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes as on normal closing date in respect the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T. Government Servant up to Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time.

Educational Qualification: (i) Degree in Ayurveda of a recognized University or Statutory State Board/Council of equivalent recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council ACT, 1970 (48 of 1970).

(ii) Enrollment on State Register or Central Register of Ayurveda.

Medical Officer (Unani)

Pay Scale: Pay Band 3 ₹ 15,600-39,100/- plus GP ₹ 5400/- plus NPA (Pre-revised) –7th CPC Pay matrix level 10 plus NPA (Revised).

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years for General and EWS category candidates as on the normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes as on normal closing dated in respect the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ U.T.
