Staff Selection Commission now on ‘X’ to assist candidates on SSC exam updates and more

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially activated its presence on X (formerly Twitter), launching its verified handle @SSC_GoI to provide timely and authentic updates related to examinations, results, and recruitment notifications. 

The Commission has urged candidates, parents, stakeholders, and the general public to follow this official account to receive verified information and avoid misinformation spread by fake or similar-looking handles. 

In its official notice, the SSC stated, “This is to inform all candidates that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is now active on X (formerly Twitter).”

“For timely updates, announcements, and other important information related to SSC exams and recruitment processes, you can follow us on our official X handle: @SSC_GoI. Stay connected with us for exam notifications, result announcements, important updates, and general information related to the Staff Selection Commission,” the Commission informed.

Caution Against Fake Social Media Handles

Emphasising digital security and authenticity, the Commission posted on X, “Candidates are advised to beware of similarly looking ‘X’ handles. Follow the genuine SSC handle for authentic updates and avoid misinformation.” 

This move comes as part of SSC’s broader efforts to strengthen communication with aspirants and enhance transparency in its recruitment process.

Enhanced Access to Question Papers and Answer Keys

In another development, the Commission has decided to allow candidates to view, store, and review their question papers, along with corresponding responses and correct answers. This will enable candidates to challenge answer keys with evidence and maintain personal records for future reference.

SSC officials clarified that these provisions are restricted only during ongoing multi-shift examinations to ensure that question papers from later sessions remain uncompromised. Once the exam cycle concludes, candidates can freely access and review their materials.

Encouraging Transparency and Accessibility

The activation of SSC’s official X handle and the introduction of new candidate-friendly measures underscore the Commission’s continued commitment to transparency and digital accessibility. It also advised candidates to regularly visit the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in or contact the SSC Helpdesk for verified updates and further queries.

Through these initiatives, the SSC aims to strengthen communication with aspirants, reduce misinformation, and streamline access to examination-related information across its platforms.
