New Delhi: In a good news for government job aspirants, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the tentative list of vacancies for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination for the year 2020.

There are a total of 4726 vacancies this year, including 158 vacancies for LDC/JSA/JPA, 3181 for PA/SA, and 7 for DEO posts, read the official notification released by the SSC.

Interested and eligible candidates are requested to visit the official website of SSC- ssc.nic.in and apply for the said posts.

It may be noted that the online application process for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2020 has begun and the last date to apply for the same is December 15. The SSC CHSL 2020 tier-1 exam is scheduled to be held from April 12, 2021 to April to 27, 2021.

Lower Division Clerk  (LSA)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)/JPA – 1,538 Posts
Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA) – 3181 Posts
Data Entry Operator (DEO) – 7 Posts

Educational Qualification:

LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The candidates must have passed 12th ckass or equivalent examination from a recognised Board or University.

Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): The Candidates must have passed 12th class exams in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognised Board or equivalent.

Pay Scale:

Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200)

Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)

Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5(Rs. 29,200-92,300)

Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’: Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100)

Important Dates To Remember
  • Last date to pay online fee: December 17, 2020
  • Last date of generation of online challan: December 19, 2020
  • Submission of offline challan: December 21, 2020
  • Date of SSC CHSL Tier-I Examination: April 12, 2021 to April 27, 2021

Meanwhile, the SSC has also requested the candidates applying for Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level, Examination 2020, should submit their online application much before the closing date i.e. 15.12.2020 and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability or failure to login to the website on account of heavy traffic on the servers during the closing days.
