In a major development, the State Bank of India (SBI) recently released a recruitment notification modifying its earlier advertisement for the positions of Bank Medical Officer stating that the Criteria of Registration with Medical Council of India stands revised to Registration with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.

However, in a big relief for those who have already applied for the positions, SBI clarified " The candidates who have already applied for the post in response to the earlier advertisement dated May 21, 2019 need not apply again and their candidature will be considered for the process."

It is pertinent to note that the State Bank of India has invited Online application from Indian citizens for appointment to the post of Bank Medical Officer (BMO-II). Candidates are requested to apply Online through the link given on Bank’s website https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers.

Note: Before applying for a post, the applicant should ensure that he/ she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned above for that post as on the specified date and that the particulars furnished by him/ her are correct in all respects. Scroll further to check the latest notification.

Age Limit: An applicant's age should not exceed 35 years as on March 31, 2019.

Educational Qualification: A candidate applying for the post should possess MBBS from any recognised University / College approved by Medical Council of India (MCI), as on March 31, 2019.

Application Fees: Application Fees and Intimation Charges (Non-refundable) is Rs 750 for General/ OBC/ EWS candidates and intimation charges of Rs 125 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates. Fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway available thereat.
