The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Western Railway, Mumbai had released a recruitment notification for engagement of Apprentice positions. A vacancy of over 3550 positions was announced inviting candidates to apply by February 6, 2020.

Applicants are advised 'in their own interest' to submit Online Application much before the closing date to avoid possibility of any failure to submit application due to heavy load/jam on website, read the official notification. Hence, candidates must apply now to avoid the last hour rush.

This is a Centralized Notification for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 being conducted by Western Railway and Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway (RRC-WR) has been nominated as nodal agency for obtaining ONLINE applications from Applicants, it added.

Candidates can submit their applications ONLINE only on RRC’s website https://www.rrc-wr.com. The candidature of the applicants will be considered only on the basis of the information filled in the ONLINE application, read the official notification.

Age Limit to Apply for the Railway Recruitment 2020

Candidates applying should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age. The Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST applicants and 03 years in case of OBC candidates.

For persons with disability (PWD), the upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years while for ex-servicemen, it is relaxable by up to additional 10 years (for detail, go through the link given below).

Educational Qualification

Matriculate or 10th Class in 10+2 examination system with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board.

Technical Qualification for RRC Recruitment 2020

ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT/SCVT is compulsory (for details about the trades, go through the link given below).

Candidates whose SSC / ITI results are awaited as on the date of notification are not eligible to apply. Besides, the applicants who failed in ITI should not apply, in case any failed applicants is engaged inadvertently, he/she will be terminated summarily from apprenticeship training without any further notice.

Moreover, Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for Apprenticeship in response to this notification as they are governed by a separate scheme of Apprenticeship.
