The Indian Railways has been on a recruitment spree as it strives to fill all the vacancy in the largest national public transporter at the earliest. Last year, the Railway Recruitment Board, RRBs had conducted the largest recruitment drive of Group D and Group C posts. This year also the recruitment process of several posts are on. However, some confusion seems to be erupting among students over the RRB NTPC Admit Card and Exam Date 2019.

It is pertinent to mention that the Railway has been working hard towards the smooth and timely conduct of all the exams. However, the delay in the RRB NTPC exam is just a result of the slew of recruitment processes the Railway is currently handling.

The official notification for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2019 was released on February 28, 2019. Then, the tentative month for RRB NTPC 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) was mentioned to be between June and September this year. But the RRB couldn't release it in September and candidates started believing that the admit card will be released by RRB in October 2019, said sources.

However, the latest media report suggests more delay as a railway official has been quoted saying, “The scrutinising of RRB NTPC application is underway. Leave September, the railway is not sure about releasing the schedule even in October as it is busy with other recruitment exams.”

This clearly indicates that the delay is not due to any foreign elements rather than the in-house issue that too because of the large number of application and recruitment the RRBs are currently busy in.

As per reports, the RRB has received 1,26,30,885 applications to fill 35,208 vacancies under NTPC for both graduates and non-graduates in various zonal railways and production units of the Indian Railways.

It is worth mentioning that the Narendra Modi government had announced (pre-poll) that 3 lakh vacancies in various categories of the Railways would be filled. Since 2018, around 5.09 crore applications were received by the Railways for a total of 2,83,331 vacancies across various categories, said sources.

As the number of application is high this year, the RRB is taking time to scrutinise it which might be one of the reasons behind the delay in the announcement of admit card and exam details.

Hence for candidates, the best option is to deal with the delay and better to use this period to fully prepare themselves for the RRB NTPC exam 2019.

The NTPC exam will be held in two stages– Computer-based tests and skill test. The candidates who will qualify these two stages will have to go through a medical test. The selected candidates will be called for verification of their documents. Finally, the RRB will announce the final results on the basis of merits.
