The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has decided to come up with new exam dates for the cyclone-affected Tamil Nadu state.

Examination centers in the State have been affected due to cyclone Gaja and so RRB could not conduct the exam. After initial reports from RRB Chennai, the board will take a decision on the new dates for the candidates of Tamil Nadu, said Anagaraj Mohan, RRB official to Indian Express.

The RRB Group D examination set to be concluded on December 17, 2018, but Gaja effect is likely to take the end of Group D exams a bit longer.

Earlier in October, RRB had cancelled exams of Group D for the candidates of Odisha due to the cyclone named ‘Titli’.

Besides, the Board had taken a decision to consider shifting of dates as the 2nd stage CBT dates of ALP was set to clash with the CBT for CEN 02/2018 and/or academic exams.

In view of the above, the 2ndstage CBT scheduled earlier from 12th December is postponed and shall now start from 24th December 2018," a notification of the Board had read.

The exam was earlier scheduled to be held on December 12, 2018 while the admit card for the same was set to be released on December 2, 2018.
