Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) has issued an official notification inviting online applications for 600 Senior Technical Assistant posts.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website, rites.com, on or before November 12, 2025. The recruitment aims to fill technical positions across multiple engineering disciplines.

Applicants must hold a full-time Diploma or B.Sc. degree in the relevant field. Eligible qualifications include:

  • Full-time Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Full-time Diploma in Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical & Electronics
  • Full-time Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Production & Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical & Automobile Engineering
  • Full-time Diploma in Metallurgy Engineering
  • Full-time Diploma in Chemical, Petrochemical, Chemical Technology, Petrochemical Technology, Plastic Engineering Technology, Food, Textile, or Leather Technology
  • Full-time B.Sc. in Chemistry

Age

The upper age limit for applicants is 40 years, with age relaxation applicable as per rules.

Application Fee

The upper age limit for applicants is 40 years, with age relaxation applicable as per rules. The application fee is Rs 300 plus taxes for General and OBC candidates, and Rs 100 plus taxes for EWS, SC, ST, and PWD candidates.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of two phases. Phase I will be a written test scheduled for November 23, 2025, carrying 125 objective questions for 2.5 hours, with no negative marking. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% (UR/EWS) or 45% (SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD) to qualify. Phase II will involve document scrutiny based on written test results and the number of vacancies.
