Amid the ongoing recruitment drive by various divisions of the Indian Railways, the Central Railway recently invited applications for engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961.
Interested and eligible candidates must brace up now to apply for the same and avoid the last-hour rush as the deadline for application submission is March 5, 2021.
Railway Recruitment 2021: Engagement of Apprentices Details
Minimum Educational Qualification:
Those applying need to have completed 10th class or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50 per cent marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training.
Age Limit:
The minimum age to apply is 15 years while the maximum cap is 24 years of age as on 01-01-2021. The Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 03 years in case of OBC candidates. For Persons with Disability, the upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
Payment of Fees:
Candidates applying will have to pay Rs 100 as Application fees, which is non-refundable.
Training and Stipend for the Engagement of Apprentices
During the first year of Training: 70 per cent of minimum wage of semiskilled workers notified by the respective State or Union Territory.
During the second year of Training: 80 per cent of minimum wage of semiskilled workers notified by the respective State or Union Territory.
During the third and fourth year of Training: 90 per cent of minimum wage of semiskilled workers notified by the respective State or Union Territory.
