Railway Recruitment 2019: Huge Applications Invited For Apprentice Posts; Apply Now

In yet another major recruitment this February, the Indian Railways has invited online applications from eligible Graduate/Diploma holders in Engineering (passed during 2016/2017 & 2018), for the post of Graduate Apprentices and Technician (Diploma) Apprentice. The candidates will be selected for undergoing one year Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices (Amendment) Act 1973 at the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.

Educational Qualification:

Category –I Graduate Apprentices: (i) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline, in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

(ii) A degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.

(iii) Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

Category –II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: (i) A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.

(ii) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.

(iii) A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.

Age Limit: Applicants' age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.

Selection Process: Shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id. Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at Chennai.

Declaration of Shortlisted list: February 13, 2019

Verification of certificates for shortlisted candidates: February 20, 2019
